When I say sizzling, I am speaking of this couple’s hotness in front of the camera and the 105 degree day it was when we captured their love on camera. Dan and Amy are from the Bay area but are getting married in Redding in October. I am so excited for their wedding as Amy has kept me in the loop on the details of the day and it just sounds SO extremely beautiful, plus fall is my favorite time of year.
This couple has a lot of history together dating back to when they met as teenagers on a houseboat on Lake Shasta. I always ask my brides and grooms to think of a couple of locations that mean a lot to them that we could consider for the engagement shoot and I love it when they take me seriously and get creative with it. Dan and Amy chose to start their pictures in downtown Redding where I found these amazing blue doors in the parking garage and then to continue the pictures on the family’s houseboat on Lake Shasta as that is where they fell in love. Isn’t that so cute? I LOVED the idea as we had never shot on a houseboat before.
Dan and Amy are a very good looking couple and they were willing to do anything. They were extremely fun and easy to work with which just made us even more excited for their wedding day.
The shoot turned out beautifully despite the fact that we were all about to pass out from the heat. The best thing about the day was all of us jumping into the lake in our clothes after the shoot – a perfect end to a perfect shoot.
Dan and Amy – you are awesome! Thank you for such a fun time and thanks for the swim at the end. We had so much fun with you and can’t wait for your wedding!

Oh the awesomeness of red heels!!!

I loved this picture of Amy with her hair flowing around her face. She was a total model.

And up to the lake we go! I edited the next two with the Totally Rad Action Summer fade to really illustrate the warmth of the summer romance between these two.

I love the next two… They are such a cute couple!

Pure couple hotness!

For all you can tell, this was taken on an exotic yacht on the Mediterranean. Ha!

I saved my favorite from the day for last. I actually think that Brett took this one. Way to go babe!

You might remember Whitney’s sister, Julie who got married in the beginning of June to Juan. Their pictures were posted a couple weeks ago. Now it is Whitney’s turn. I have to start by saying that I LOVE this family. Whitney and Julie and their husbands are blessed to be a part of this very loving and caring family. Both weddings were off the hook amazing and both entirely different which is really hard to pull off within two weeks of each other. But they did! Whitney and Jeremy’s wedding definitely had a very classy and romantic feel that I tried to reflect in the pictures we took and the way I processed them. It was a gorgeous wedding with beautiful flower arrangements, colors, great ceremony site, fun dancing, great Bridal party and of course great Bride and Groom. So so so much love!!
I started crying during their first dance and cried through the Father/Daughter dance – Did anyone ever think of playing “Because you Loved Me” by Celine Dion for a Father/Daughter dance – it was PERFECT. Julie gave one of the BEST Matron of honor speeches I have ever heard and the flow of the day was just perfect. They opted to see each other before the ceremony, which I highly recommend to all of my brides. We had so much fun with the portrait session even though it was literally 105 degrees outside and we had to take brakes every 5 minutes to wipe the sweat off of Jeremy’s head. The heat did not bring us down and we just had a blast the entire day.
Jeremy and Whitney – thank you for giving us this honor. Thank you for having fun with us and for being so darn gorgeous!
Ken and Karen – Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your family twice in a row. You blessed us beyond what we can express. We fell in love with your family and hope that our paths will cross again.
Enjoy the pictures everyone! There are a lot of Black and White pictures as I loved the classiness that they add.

Both Whitney and Julie are very close to their father and wanted to have a moment when their dad saw them for the first time in their dresses. This is that moment for Whitney, fighting back tears.

And this is mom watching it take place with sister Morgan and Julie.
And their first meeting.
And the fun begins… Aren’t they amazing??

On the way from the Photo session location to the Ceremony site, we stopped by an amazing bridge to take a couple more pictures. LOVED it!

And that is where this picture was taken. One of my favorites. Isn’t Whitney just stunning?
And then it was time to get married.

The light was just falling on them perfectly during their prayer.
I loved the light and the moment of this image.

And yay for more pictures!

One of my favs of the day.

And party time!

First dance…

I’m everything I am… Because you loved me…

Emily,
Tears!!! Wow! I cried while viewing these pics of Whitney and Jeremy!!
Did you know that Jeremy wrote and sang the song they did their first dance to? He wrote it first as a poem and that is how he proposed. Then he went into a recording studio and surprised Whitney with it as their first dance song!Whitney has always had a tender spot for her Daddy. She preferred him over me as an infant!!! I can’t begin to tell you what that did to Ken’s daddy heart! Yes, she is everything she is because he loves her!
Thank you so much for blessing our family with your amazing talent! I can’t begin to tell you how much I love your photography, and how blessed we are to benefit from the gift God as showered upon you!
Your pictures of my beautiful girls will lovingly hang in my home forever!!!!
