I seriously cannot believe that it is already Thanksgiving. I have sooo much to be thankful for this year. We have had the most amazing Brides and Grooms, made some friends for life, settled into our life here in San Diego and gotten pregnant with our first child. Whew! I can’t believe how fast it has flown by. But thank you to all of you who have made our year so amazing! To all of you Brides and Grooms – it has been our immense pleasure and honor to be apart of your lives, to share with you in your special moments and to give you pictures to remember those moments forever. You have all been a huge blessing to us and we hope to stay in touch and serve you in the future!
Speaking of amazing Brides and Grooms -
I raved about Keith and Sherri in my last post and I will rave about them again in this post – We just can’t get enough of them. I mean look at them! They are beautiful!!!
The very next morning after their wedding they got dressed up the EXACT same as the day before. It was amazing how precise they looked in comparison to their wedding day. They were gorgeous and ready for their shoot at 9AM. It was so much fun and this house that we shot at just had so much to work with not to mention the beautiful morning light. I will let the pictures speak for themselves. Here are some of our favorites.
Enjoy and HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!

Imagine a couple that was so perfect for each other it was like they were made as one from the very beginning, a couple that you could not imagine ever not being a couple. That couple is Keith and Sherri. They are madly in love with one another. They are best friends for life and they are now Husband and Wife. ( Sorry, I couldn’t help it, the rhyme just slipped out!)
The energy in the church, the joy on peoples’ hearts for this marriage was so evident. This had been an event long time coming and everyone was excited. Sherri was exquisite. Her hair was perfect, her dress was stunning, her heart was ready. She was full of excitement on her wedding day and yet the first thing she asks me when I first see her is “How is the baby?”. That just shows you what a gem this woman is. She is caring and full of love and joy for life. Keith is literally one of the funniest men we have ever encountered. Ever. He and his groomsmen were so fun to photograph as they just kept doing the goofiest things and we just kept shooting. They were having fun with it and we love it when our clients can have fun with the pictures. I have to mention the highlight of this wedding for Brett and I was the toast that Keith gave and I shouldn’t call it a toast as it was more of a 30 minute stand up comedy routine that warrented charging admission! I was crying at times from laughing so hard.
FYI- with this post there are very few pictures of Keith and Sherri portraits and that is because they opted to have a “Day After”shoot. Literally the day after the wedding they got all dressed up again and we had a two hour shoot with just the two of them. It was a BLAST, but more on that later. This is their beautiful wedding that we felt so privileged to take part in and capture.
Keith and Sherri- Your wedding was amazing! You two are amazing!!! We love you guys and can’t wait to see you again! Thank you for your kindness and how fun you are to hang out with. You immediately made us feel welcome and we are so grateful to call you our friends.
Congratulations again!

We LOVED the vintage Foosball table – can you tell?
… Is that how you spell Foosball?

I just had to show off Sherri’s amazing hair!

This is one of those moments when all the guys just bust out laughing because someone made some hilarious remark. Love it!

This is one great looking group of guys too and all of them are great athletes, but you could probably tell that just by looking at them.

Check out Keith’s kick!!!

Isn’t she just gorgeous???

I love this picture of Sherri and her mother. They are both so stunningly beautiful and gave me a perfect pose of beauty and grace.
This was such a precious moment between father and daughter that it brought tears to Sherri’s eyes – hence the fanning.

We did not know this was going to happen, but what did I tell you – total goofs!

Sherri’s now Sister-in-law caught the bouquet and incidentally, her boyfriend caught the garder…

I caught this when I went out on the dance floor and showed some of my moves in my prego state. I guess they liked it.

Brett captured this during the last dance of the night.
And they lived Happily Ever After!
Stay tuned for their “Day After” Session coming soon!

BRILLIANT!!!! You are absolutely BRILLIANT! Thank you for the sweet blog you wrote about us. We enjoyed working with you guys.
Our photos are a dream come true. They are everything we wanted them to be, and we haven’t even seen all of!!Emily and Bret,
We are so blessed to have found you for our wedding. The two of you are amazing! All our love,
Mr and Mrs Papini -
Now that I’ve had a moment of falling off my chair and screaming with excitement…..
Emily and Bret,
Keith and I were so nervous about finding our photographer for our wedding. After MONTHS of searching and horrid interviews we started to loose hope. We couldn’t find a photographer with ‘style’. We also couldn’t find a photographer with personality! We just couldn’t find anyone who ‘fit’ with us.
Then we met You. I remember looking at your website and thinking “HALELUEJAH! FINALLY!” Keith and I had called you and INSTANTLY we felt at ease. I hung up the phone and Keith said “That’s the one! That’s who I want!”
You were professional, and organized but, it was your bubbly personality that made our decission.
The day of the wedding, the both of you were so great! You were comforting when I thought I was going to loose it and directed with confidence and courtesy. Thank you so much for your willingness and flexibilty to get ‘the perfect shot’. I still can’t belive your husband had half his leg in the pool just to get a shot! The two of you make an amazing team!
We would HIGHLY HIGHLY reccommend you two for portraits, engagements and most of all, your Wedding day! When you need someone documenting the biggest day of your life, Team Faulknor is who you would want at your side.We were blessed to have you as our photgraphers and can’t wait to have another reason for you to photograph for us.
I still can’t thank you enough,
Mrs Sheri Papini -
You guys are amazing! Totally rocked this wedding. I love the ring shots (awesome!), the emotions you captured during the ceremony, the group shots, and the limo shots! holy cow!

Gorgeous shots Emily. I love the playfulness of the day
Awesome! Love the bathtub ones!
Oh my gosh I LOVE the ones of her in the bath tub. A day after shoot would be fun but I don’t know if I’d want to go through all the work of getting ready like that 2 days in a row.
Love the three detailing shots back to back – the necklace and the two following it. Beautiful. Love the reflection shots and the very last one
The bride reminds me of Rachel McAdams! Gorgeous pictures. My favorite ones are the ones across the pool.
Emily, those bathtub shots are money! Love it
Ha ha! I love those tub shots!
