It was a VERY busy weekend with an engagement shoot on Friday, First wedding of the season on Saturday (can’t wait to share those pics with you!) and most importantly – our son, North Joseph Faulknor turned 1 year old on Saturday. I just had to share a couple of pictures with you from his party on Sunday. I know I am biased, but isn’t he the most adorable kid ever???!! He was slightly overwhelmed the entire day, but he got through it like a champ and I do think that he had a good time. 
I have to bring your attention to the FANTASMIC cake that we had made for North’s birthday party. The cake was made by the amazing Claudette of Urban Confections. I gave her one picture with just a few modifications and she made everything PERFECTLY. Not only did it look amazing, but according to everyone there it was seriously one of the BEST cakes anyone had ever tasted. So, to all of you brides out there – she does fantastic work that looks good and tastes better!!!
North, mommy and daddy love you so much. We are so proud of you and how much you have learned in your first year of life. You amaze us every single day. You are a gift, a blessing, an awesome little man. Happy Birthday!
Ok, so everybody BUT north liked the cake!

Hey Friends, we’re writing to you today while ‘recovering’ from our Mexican vacation with Brett’s family. By recovering we mean that Brett is splattering aloe on his sun burnt Canadian shoulders trying to stop them from itching and slowing the inevitable peeling process. Silly boy!
In between our recent escapes to Vegas and Mexico a week and a half later, we have been shooting a ton of pre-wedding season engagement sessions! It has been so much fun getting to know our 2011 couples and becoming a part of their lives. Our couples are so cool. Don’t believe me? Rich and Ashley are gonna prove it today. Not only do they prove that we work with some totally amazing people, but they break the stereotype that some people (you know who you are) have about accountants. That’s right – they are both accountants by profession! Actually, they met while sitting in their cubes peering over their Excel spreadsheets making eyes at each other. Ok, so didn’t didn’t totally go down like that, but that’s our abbreviated Hollywood version of their story.
