So, Christmas is 2 weeks away!!! Oh my goodness – I am so excited! Even the weather has turned Christmasy – or at least San Diego’s version of it! The rain is pouring down. I LOVE it. Not only does it give me an excuse to drink hot drinks, but also to light all of my festive candles. Yay!!! I hope that all of you are enjoying your holiday shopping and Christmas party’s. We had an uber fabulous time at the KISSmas party (for wedding photographers) and danced the night away. I busted some moves people even at 6 months pregnant. I was quite impressed with myself.
It was so much fun! I can’t remember the last time I partied that late, and I definitely felt it the morning after, but it was totally worth it! We get to go visit my family in Wisconsin this year and we are sooo super excited! I am praying hard for real snow (not San Diego’s liquid substitute) and look forward to wearing the maternity jacket I bought just for this week!
As I write this, baby boy says hi to all you in internetland…He is definitely really active today and I love to feel him moving around!
Enough about us. As I promised, here is more from Ryan and Ayumi’s super fun wedding!
Ryan and Ayumi are an adorable couple who are so very sweet and kindhearted. They were such a pleasure to work with. And what a gorgeous day it was in La Jolla. Every detail came together perfectly. Their wedding was seriously uber fun with so much laughter, a photobooth and great games and dancing. They did not have a wedding party and they really wanted a lot of time for their own portraits so of course they opted to see each other before the Ceremony – which works really well particularly this time of year when the sun sets so early (winter brides – be sure to factor this in when booking your venue!).
Thank you Ryan and Ayumi! We will definitely look you up the next time we are in Orange County and say “hi”. You guys are awesome!

One of four dresses that Ayumi wore that night.

And then it was time for the ceremony!

They danced their way down the aisle – it was fabulous!

We got to snag a couple of my favorite shots from the day between ceremony and family shots – Look at them striking the poses!

And some photobooth fun…

Such a very cool venue!

Congratulations Ryan and Ayumi!!!

Well, our Thanksgiving was amazing because we didn’t have to go anywhere and be stuck in traffic and yet we still got to spend time with our wonderful friends and their dear family that has adopted us as their own. Truly a blessing! Brett said that he has never eaten a better Thanksgiving meal and that means a LOT as he can be quite opinionated.
We then got to shoot our last wedding of the season on Friday.
I can’t believe this season is over, but what an amazing season it has been! God is so good! Saturday we RESTED and DECORATED!!! OH, how I LOVE Christmas. To be honest it was hard to feel like it was Christmas with it being 75 degrees outside, but we tried. Brett is such a great husband and he bought me a Christmas tree. We weren’t going to get one since we will be at my parents’ for Christmas this year, but he knew how important it was for me to have one and so… we got one. I must say that it is the most beautiful tree we have had yet in our almost 5 years of being married. Brett, I love you! You know me so well!
Ok, now my challenge is posting pictures from all of the photoshoots that have taken place in the last couple months that I have been busily working on. I can’t wait to share them with you. Today, I want to just give you a taste of the fantastic wedding we had the privilege of shooting two weeks ago. More to come on this of course, but I just had to tease you!
Aren’t these two adorable??!!

All I can say is these pictures look amazing. Emily and Brett thank you soo much for capturing these moments for us. I don’t know how you did it, but everything looks even better than I remember. I keep asking myself “Was that really our wedding?” If I were to do it all over again (which I really don’t plan to) I would hire you in an instant. Thank you Emily and Brett. Wonderful people with amazing work. I’m now going to admire the pictures again…and again….and again.
THANK YOU!
