Wow. We just set a record for the longest time we’ve ever gone without posting photos of awesome couples in love on our blog. So what have we been doing?  We’ve had our busiest spring ever, so we’ve been shooting like crazy, editing like crazy, and getting to know lots of awesome new couples. Oh, and if you didn’t know, we had our second child, a beautiful little angel we named Jovie. Today we wanted to start blogging again and choose this engagement shoot with Alex and Amanda – and if he looks a bit familiar, you just might have seen his brother’s engagement and wedding a couple years ago.  Enjoy!

While we love any engagement session we photograph, Brett especially loves it when we shoot in nature. It’s the outdoor-lover-tree-hugger-mountain-boy thing that runs deep in his blood. So when Jeff and Liza wanted to do their engagement session by the ocean cliffs, Brett jumped on the chance to suggest a location that he used to cycle by on a regular basis. As a bonus, Jeff and Liza were a blast to hang out with. They were inspiring as people. Liza studying hard as a med student, Jeff a teacher who protects the north coast beaches as a Lifeguard by summer. Both crazy fit, but I guess that’s what competing in marathon and IRONMAN events do to you!  They make us want to get out and move.
